How To Have A Healthy Blood Pressure?
A healthy blood pressure is something that would allow you to live comfortably. There are a number of issues that come with high blood pressure and certain others with low blood pressures. Therefore, you should try to maintain your body within healthy blood pressure to ensure that every one of your body works within the limits of themselves. The standard blood pressure that is suggested by the doctors is the 110/70. When the blood pressure goes up every one gets into trouble and the doctor has to do overtime too!
According to the World Health organization, however, the healthy blood pressure definition changes mildly. They recommend that the systolic blood pressure has to be less than 140 and the diastolic blood pressure should be less than 90 for a health blood pressure. It is true that the health is unduly affected if the pressure is above or below these limits. If systolic blood pressure is between 140 and 160 then this is considered as a border condition. Equally so, if the diastolic blood pressure is between 90 and 95, it is considered border condition by the medical people.
Whereas the UN National Institute of Health looks at the healthy blood pressure in a different way. Not very different, though. Diastolic according to them has to be less that 80 and systolic less than 120. This they consider as the optimal. If it is less than this then again there is a problem. The normal healthy blood pressure would be according to them less than 130 systolic and less than 85 for the diastolic. 130 to 160 is mildly hypertension and 160 to 180 is moderate hypertension. If it is over 180, then you have severe hyper tension. The same way on the diastolic pressure the ranges will be: 90 to 100 for mild hypertension, 100 to 110 for moderate hyper tension and if it is over 110 then the person has severe hypertension. It is therefore, important that the person keeps a close watch on his blood pressures.
It is true that the healthy blood pressure a person has at one moment does not mean that he should not have an unhealthy one at a later date and time. It is also true that what looks as reasonably hyper tensioned for one person might be severe for one and the opposite is also true. What is healthy blood pressure for the other person might not be so for the next. All these indicate that there are minor variations in the way blood pressure works for individuals. In case of certain Asian communities the healthy blood pressure is much higher when compared to what it is in the European or American communities. A for instance in Indian community, even systolic as high as 150 is considered healthy blood pressure! The healthy blood pressure varies with the age too. If the age is over 35, the pressure can go up to 140/90 even in the western communities.
